Power Mode On Racing
Launching soon

Watch the race as it happens.

Someone you know is running or riding. They share one link, and you can see exactly where they are on the course, who is ahead of them, and what place they are in - right now, in your browser.

Enter your race code

Eight characters, from the race organiser or the person running. A personal link works here too - just paste it.

Codes are not case sensitive, and the dash is optional.

How it works

1

They turn on sharing

The person racing switches it on for that one activity, in the Power Mode On app. Nothing is shared until they do, and never by default.

2

They send you a link

One link, good for that activity only. You do not need the app, an account, or to accept anything.

3

You watch

Open it on a phone or a laptop. The map updates on its own while they are moving.

What you will see

  • Where they are on the course - their position drawn against the actual route, not a dot on an empty map.
  • Ahead or behind, in metres - measured along the course itself. On an out-and-back, two people standing metres apart on opposite legs are correctly shown as far apart in the race.
  • Their place in the field - a real placing among everyone sharing, not just among their own friends.
  • How fresh each position is - if a signal drops you are told the reading is old, rather than shown a stale dot as though it were current.

What this does not do

  • It is not a tracker. A link works only while that one activity is being shared. When the run ends the link stops working - there is nothing left to open.
  • It shows no account names. You see the race name the runner typed in, never their real name from their profile.
  • It is not searchable. Spectator pages are not indexed and cannot be found - the only way to one is a link somebody chose to send you.
  • They can stop it at any time, and the link stops working immediately when they do.
